New Tech Startup Aims to Make Business Apps as Cool as the Ones We Use for Fun

Ever wondered why the apps we use for shopping or chatting look so good and are super easy to use, but the ones for work are often clunky and not fun? Well, a tech startup in Europe thinks business apps need a big makeover and they’re making it happen with their new idea: The Mobile-First Company.

This startup is all about creating apps that businesses can use on their phones without any hassle. Unlike many business apps that feel like they’re stuck in the past, The Mobile-First Company is making apps that are meant to be used on the go. Their aim is to help smaller businesses with apps that do one thing well, instead of trying to do everything but ending up too complicated.

The people behind this are Jérémy Goillot and Ignacio Siel Brunet. Goillot knows his stuff from growing a fintech company into a unicorn (which means it’s super successful). Brunet has seen firsthand how big businesses different needs have than smaller ones, like his family’s furniture business which struggles with keeping track of things.

They’ve got loads of ideas for simple apps, like one for making quotes, another to watch your spending, and even one to manage stuff you have in stock. The first app they’ve come up with is called Amoa, and it’s all about helping you keep an eye on your inventory using just your phone.

Imagine you’re fixing cars and need to know how many parts you have left. Instead of using some old spreadsheet on a computer, you could just scan the parts with Amoa and have all the info you need right there on your phone. It’s not just for people who sell things; even photographers or nurses could use it to track their gear or supplies.

The Mobile-First Company has big plans to make and test loads of apps, keeping only the ones people really like. They want to make money by offering cool extra features you can pay for. With a fresh €3.5 million in the bank from some big-time investors, they’re ready to move fast and get these apps into the hands of business owners who need them. They’re making apps as quickly as two weeks and are looking to release six by the end of the year. So, keep an eye out – you might just see one of their apps on a business owner’s phone soon!
