Waters Corporation has rolled out the Alliance™ iS Bio High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) System, a game-changer for biopharmaceutical quality control (QC) labs. Launched at Analytica 2024 in Munich, this advanced system is engineered to streamline workflows, boost efficiency, and cut down on common errors by up to 40%.

The new system features Waters’ MaxPeak™ High Performance Surface (HPS) Technology. This innovation tackles the problem of unwanted interactions between the testing materials and the instrument, enhancing the accuracy of test results. It means clearer, more reliable data for QC analysts, with less time spent tracking down the causes of test failures or results that don’t meet specifications.

Developed in collaboration with customers, the Alliance iS Bio HPLC System aims to simplify the daily tasks of QC labs while meeting the industry’s strict compliance standards. It promises to speed up the process of getting products from the lab to the market.

Fraser McLeod, a Vice President at Waters, highlighted the focus on reducing human error and enhancing lab productivity. The system’s bio-inert design and compatibility with specialized vials and plates underscore its user-friendly, efficiency-first approach.

In addition to hardware, the system integrates with Waters’ Empower Chromatography Software, offering a comprehensive solution for data management and reporting. This compatibility extends to other liquid chromatography instruments, making it a versatile tool for high-volume QC labs.

The Alliance iS Bio HPLC System is now available worldwide, marking a significant step forward for biopharmaceutical testing. With its launch, Waters continues to lead in providing cutting-edge analytical technologies that support the life sciences industry.
